Health & Safety

We at M C Designers take great care when it comes to Health and Safety and the environment. Where possible we try to use alternative materials which are good for the environment and yet still provide our customers with the high standard they have become used to. For example at this present moment we are looking in to using a more environmentally friendly paint which is called Ecosure. Unlike the normal oil based paints this paint is water based and can have up to 30% less embodied carbon. All packaging and cans used for these paints are made from either 50% recycled metal or 25% post-consumer plastic.

Using materials like Ecosure is just one step into a more environmentally friendly M C Designers and we are constantly improving our practices.

Not only do we try and do our bit for the environment we also make sure we look after our staff. Both employees and subcontractors. We are constantly updating our health and safety procedures, policies and assessments to ensure we run in line with the current legislation. Hazardous substances are another very important area of M C Designers. Although we do not use any highly toxic or dangerous substances we always make sure that anything we do use is COSHH assessed and approved prior to using it. COSHH assessments are then back up with risk assessments which are reviewed at regular intervals and every possible precautions are put into place to prevent any risk to both our staff and the public.

We have our own external health and safety officer who carries out regular spot checks on all our sites, this helps us at M C Designers to keep up to date with all current health and safety legislation.
