This wallpaper is quite unique and we have hung it at various locations throughout the UK including the <a href="http://www.tate.org.uk/britain/exhibitions/inagaddadavida/" target="_blank">Tate Britain A Gadda Da Vida</a>, various restaurants and the <a href="http://www.arnolfini.org.uk/" target="_blank">Arnolfini Gallery</a> in Bristol. </p> <p>The <a href="http://www.whitworth.manchester.ac.uk/" target="_blank">Whitworth Art Gallery</a> includes various different wallpapers ranging from modern and historic to rare and unusual pieces.</p> http://www.mcdesigners.co.uk/news/item.htm?pid=3710 3708 Thu, 28 Jan 2010 15:34:48 +0000 <p>We are currently undertaking works at the <a href="http://www.courtauld.ac.uk/GALLERY/exhibitions/2010/michelangelo/" target="_blank">Courtauld Gallery</a> for <a href="http://www.courtauld.ac.uk/GALLERY/exhibitions/2010/michelangelo/" target="_blank">Michelangelo's Dream</a> and the exhibition there is due to open on the 18th February- 16th May 2010. The build consists of the fabrication of showcases made up of metal work, MDF and glass tops. The coils were made of an aluminium frame covered in blue fabric. All those involved were happy with the works and it looks brilliant. The art is being installed now and the exhibition is due to run from the 24th July- 30th August 2009</p> <p>The <a href="http://www.kingsplace.co.uk/about-kings-place/residents/kings-place-gallery" target="_blank">Borchard collection</a> was founded by Ruth Borchard who started the collection back in the 1950's. The collection consists of British self portraits including works by Raymond Coxon and Ithell Colquhoun.</p> <p>Ruth Borchard's main inspiration was to include in her collection works from young artists who showed an amazing potential. Thirteen paintings will be displayed in a specially designed walnut environment. Ofili has been criticised in the past because of the chapel like qualities of the exhibit and the suggestion that the arrangements of his thirteen paintings represents that of Christ and his apostles.</p> <p><a href="http://www.tate.org.uk/britain/exhibitions/Ofili/" target="_blank">Chris Ofili</a> spans across 3 galleries<span style="color: red;"> </span>and consists of mainly carpentry and joinery works. Redecoration works throughout the Royal Academy of Engineering&rsquo;s meeting room where the works are taking place, the supply and fitting of new electrics based on architects drawings received and the replacement flooring to the meeting room. During the installation of the wallpaper we were asked to wallpaper a further 300sqm of wall which we gladly accepted. The wallpapering was completed on a very tight timescale and M C Designers Ltd worked hard to deliver not only an impressive finished product but also to fit in with the galleries timescale. This job has been both a challenge but also highly rewarding. The works consisted of the fabrication of specialist showcases which were made offsite at our joinery shop. These were then delivered to site and installed by our staff. We have not completed the works fully yet but once they are completed we will be publishing photos in our '<a href="/folder.htm?ipg=8768">gallery</a>' section of our website, so please feel free to return and have a look at what we have achieved. The Van&nbsp;Dyck&nbsp;exhibition took 2 weeks to complete and the Triennial exhibition took 3 weeks.
